prficathonsI'm trying something a little different this year, and I give you Alpha Madness! I've listed everyone's prompts in alphabetical order by AO3 name. You can write any prompt, and then post it to the collection (or wherever else you want) and gift it to the person. There were so many excellent prompts this time - go ahead and fill a few!

Prompt 1 - Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers in Space, Power Rangers Turbo, Power Rangers Zeo - Gen - Any character
An exploration of what happens after the events of "Countdown to Destruction," preferably focusing on media treatment of the Power Rangers. How do the Space Rangers deal with their identities being known? Do they go on talk shows, get endorsements/endorse various charities? Do they get invited to awards shows, political conventions, etc.? Are there paparazzi? How do they use their fame, if they use it at all?
(Bonus points for mentioning how Earth reporters react to Andros and Zhane.)
Meanwhile, how do the older Rangers feel? Are they glad the spotlight's not on them, or are they jealous that the Space Rangers get the recognition they don't? Do any reporters manage to figure out their identities, based on the Space Rangers' acquaintances? If so, what happens then?
Prompt 2 - Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue - Carter Grayson/Dana Mitchell
Dana's liked Carter for a while, but he's so focused on being a Ranger that she doubts he'd ever think of her as anyone other than a teammate. Little does she know that, behind his aloof, professional facade, Carter is struggling against his attraction to Dana. He's supposed to be taking care of the bad guys, after all, not dating a coworker. Then there's the fact that she happens to be the boss's daughter.
Bonus points for Ryan thinking they're both idiots, and nudging Carter into making a move.
Prompt 3 - Power Rangers S.P.D. - Sydney Drew/Sky Tate
Sky POV: Syd annoys Sky. Like, *really* annoys Sky. She's flighty, she's self-centered, and she cares more about keeping her clothes clean than keeping up her training. But what annoys Sky the most about Syd is the way he can't stop looking at her, or thinking about her, or dreaming about her...
Bonus points for Bridge being the first to figure it out, and Jack teasing the hell out of Sky for it.
Note: obviously, Syd isn't really that shallow. Sky's just being a dunce. ;)
Prompt 4 - Power Rangers Time Force - Wesley Collins/Eric Myers
Wes wants to go for the relationship, but Eric is conscious of what the other Silver Guardians - not to mention Wes's father - would think. Happy ending! =)
Alternately, I'd love to see Wes and Eric when they're in boarding school together - with Wes wanting a relationship, and Eric still confused/angry about his feelings. It might be easy for the rich, popular kid (read: Wes) to get away with being gay, but the other students would never let Eric live it down. Not so happy ending. =(

(The image of Kelsey and Shane set loose in the Aquabase, and Carter's resulting minor meltdown, had been stuck in my head for years. That's the seed of this prompt.)

Tyzonn and Mack got together during OO. Then Vella came back. Mack's moping about the fact that he's been displaced. He just doesn't get why both of them keep seeking him out.
Ronny, meanwhile, wishes that Mack would get a clue so Tyzonn and Vella would stop going to her to mope after he leaves the date.

I've marked this one as both gen and slash because I'm happy with however you'd choose to interpret the RJ/Dom relationship. Now, I thought they were supposed to be friends from the academy (though I concede I might be imagining this!) but there was very little evidence of this in the show. So, I'd like some unadulterated RJ/Dom bonding. Talking or training or however you'd like to do it.
Prompt 3 - Power Rangers Samurai - Emily
I'm really interested in Emily's relationship with her sister. Do they generally get on well together? How did Emily feel when she had to take over Ranger duties? How did Serena feel? Anything that explores their relationship before, during and after Emily's tenure as a Ranger would be lovely.
Prompt 4 - Power Rangers RPM - Gem
To celebrate his first Christmas outside of Alphabet Soup, Gem goes Holiday shopping for his sister (feel free to be specific about any holiday you like, or keep it generic). Hijinks ensue.
One of the things that intrigues me most about RPM is how "normal life" happens in Corinth. How do they shop? What kinds of things are going to be available to them? Do they still recognise religious festivals or has the survival instinct superseded this? I like world building, and RPM gave us a good base in my opinion.

Justin, bruised, bloody, and on his last legs, is left to make his way home alone after a crushing defeat and forcing his team to leave him behind.
But for all his maturity, for all that he is (was) a Power Ranger, he's still a little boy wandering the streets after going through hell. Who helps him?
Prompt 4 - Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue - Chad/Marina
Years later, Chad and Marina both meet again. Time and distance make the heart grow fonder, but both have moved on from the whirlwind romance, and they catch up with their lives.
Any pairings, or even gen, is acceptable, as long as the Chad/Marina's in the past.

STANDARD DISCLAIMER: In general, I'm really not into unhappy endings, or tragedy (especially not around the holidays with my stress level) and so while I completely understand that a story without a certain amount of drama or tension is an extremely boring story (to write AND to read) I would much prefer to know things all work out all right in the end. Please no character bashing either (not that you WOULD, dear anon author, but I just wanna cover my bases. <3).
Prompt 1 - Power Rangers Time Force - Wesley Collins/Eric Myers
Not even gonna lie, I ship Eric/Wes like the fist of a burning god, and if I had my way there would be so much fic for them you wouldn't even be able to move on the internet without bumping into a story. I would love to see a story about them after the final episode, maybe about how they learned to work together as Silver Guardians, and some fleshing out of Eric's past, just finding out how they went from the still partially unresolved tension of the finale to the comfortable partnership in the Wild Force crossover (although I'm not saying you have to write about Wild Force or anything.)
Prompt 2 - Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue - Carter Grayson/Ryan Mitchell
Okay, seriously, I shipped it SO HARD during the show. SO HARD. And I would love a story about Carter and Ryan getting together, maybe throw in how being raised by demons would affect Ryan's interacts with Carter and with the base at large, and how he is or is not able to fit himself into life on a para-military installation. Seriously, I love this whole team, and would love to see their inclusion as well, but Carter/Ryan was my OTP for that entire season, not just because of their unmatched badassery and pragmatism.
Prompt 3 - Power Rangers Mystic Force
Okay, so when the Mystic Force zord gets all together (terrible with names, sorry!) it's actually formed from the minds/bodies of all the rangers. I really, really, really would love a story that deals with that. How does it affect the rangers when they *aren't* combined? Are they closer? Do they know each other's memories? Do they accidentally act like each other for awhile until it wears off? It could be an Leelee's POV of how they act in the record shop, or the rangers' own impressions, or anything. I just want someone else (for now, because I possibly will never stop talking about it omg) to show me what affects the rangers after a...what do you even call it? A mind/body meld. That. Story, please?

It's possible I am alone in this, but I ship the OT5 in this season so hard, anon. All together they kind of make one whole person! And basically, I would love to see a story with them, after the series ended, where they all realize that they need Jack and Jack realizes he needs them because after awhile they realize that they've all been dating each other. Together. As a group. :D?

Soooo, yes. These two are one of my oldest OTP's and they still (fifteen years later?!) make me incredibly, incredibly happy. I just can't ever not find them sweet together. I'd like to know what happens post-canon, here. Do they spend more time on Earth or KO-35? Do they give up their morphers again? What adventures do they have?
Prompt 2 - Power Rangers in Space - Andros/Zhane
These two! They so obviously love each other, and there's so much to explore. What if Zhane hadn't been injured on KO-35 and spent those two years with Andros? What if Andros had been the one injured? How did they meet? How did they become Rangers?
Prompt 3 - Power Rangers Lost Galaxy - Karone/Kendrix/Maya
I would love to see Karone and Kendrix get to know each other. They could bond over their mutual inability to remain dead or something. XD (... Actually! That would totally work!) How does each of their relationships with Maya change after they land on Mirinoi? IDK, I just think they should all be BFF's. (If you want to make this one shippy, I could go for any two/three of them.)
Prompt 4 - Power Rangers in Space - Andros & Karone
These two are my favorite PR siblings. What if Andros had been the one kidnapped? What if Karone had never been? Would they both have become Rangers anyway? Neither of them? How do they (in canon) get to know each other after they're reunited? My headcanon for them is that they have two mommies (explanation here), if you want to include that.

Prompt 2 - Mighty Morphin, Power Rangers Zeo - Zordon
Remember the Ninja Storm episode "Sensei Switcheroo", wherein Sensei gets to temporarily stop being a guinea pig via body swap and kicks a lot of butt? Basically that, only Zordon Era style. Some random phenomenon causes Zordon to swap places with one of his Rangers, allowing him to spend some time outside the tube and allowing everyone else to see just how badass a fighter he was when he had a body. Bonus points if Alpha gets swapped also and gets to run around as a human for a bit.
Prompt 3 - Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers Samurai - Billy, Antonio
Circa "Something Fishy", Billy shows up to empathize with Antonio about being phobic of fish. Bonus points if Billy has to pull Blue Ranger rank and yell at Kevin for being insensitive.
Prompt 4 - Power Rangers Operation Overdrive - Mackenzie Hartford
Post-season, Mack joins up with the veteran team from "Once a Ranger" to continue being a big damn hero. Bridge had to go back to the future, so they ARE minus a Red...

The Ninja Storm rangers and the Jungle Fury rangers have to work together on some kind of fighty-evil project. There is sparring, discussion of power theory, and possibly baked goods. Post-cannon endings for both seasons. Could be holiday themed. Anyones POV, or multiple POV's. The snarkier the merrier.
Prompt 3 - Power Rangers Lost Galaxy - Kendrix, Karone
After Karone takes on the Pink Ranger Powers, she gets the mysterious side effect of hallucinating Kendrix at any given moment. Is Kendrix a ghost, or just in Karone’s head? Does she tell the other rangers, or keep it to herself? And what does spending all her time talking to a hallucination help her learn/understand about herself/feel better about?
You tell me! Small vignette form prefered, but feel free to write me an epic!
Prompt 4 - Power Rangers Samurai - Mike/Kevin
That one time Kevin and Mike went on a roadtrip and chaos ensued. Could be M/M or just friendship fic. There should be hugging in there somewhere, either way. Samurai is a huggy season.

(I'm ok with Christmas Hanukkah, Solstice, anything, as long as there is at least one gift involved for everyone.)

All the PRiS Rangers go for a hike on Christmas day (someone's family tradition). Team bonding fic.

Karone and Zhane take a walk around Angel Grove just before Christmas to see all the beautifully lit decorations. This can be shippy or gen friendship fic. Author's choice. :D

Rocky/Adam former relationship is great too. Mostly I just want Rocky and Jason learning to work with each other and be friends within the whole skewed team dynamic that season.
Prompt 4 - Power Rangers RPM
RPM team bonding! Pre-Poorly-Rewritten-Space-Plotline.
Everybody gets a night to choose what the team does for fun and everybody else has to participate whether they like it or not. What do they all do? How do they all react?
Gen would be great, but romantic subtext would be fine.

The faculty and staff at Angel Grove High School all know they're not teaching content at a high school level. How did this happen, why are they going along with it in the classroom, and why are their attempts to fix it being stonewalled?
(You can take this as a crack prompt, or make it like an epic political thriller, or go in whatever direction you want. The important thing is that it explains the canon AGHS.)

Chip expected to figure out some things about himself for certain, the first time he visited a gay bar. What he didn't expect to find out was that as a Power Ranger, he was a gay icon.
Well, not him *specifically* both because secret identities and because it was the rangers generally, not Mystic Force Yellow (though he did have fans and whoa weird).
It makes dating... interesting. How does he make it work?
Doesn't matter if he winds up with another ranger or not, just that he gets to be happy (eventually; angst along the way is fine).

Here's a shippy prompt: a pregnancy scare. Preferably with snark and Nick failing to keep himself from freaking out.
Or something with a strap-on. I like strap-ons, and I think Vida might too.
Here's a not-shippy prompt: Nick notices that whenever one of the rangers is having a problem or ends up dealing with the monster, V's hair stripe is that person's ranger color. He confronts her.

Since it's getting near Halloween, a darker AU is kinda creeping on me-- I really like ghost stories and betrayal and bittersweet things. If you want to do a dark, sci-fi re-imagining of SPD (dude, those prison cards? TOTALLY CREEPY) with dystopian elements and maybe Jack or Z (or one of the others!) is fighting the system from the inside.
Bonus points for mention or use of Bridge's psychic synesthesia.

I kind of ship Shane with everyone, BTW, so if you want to just write about Shane getting nookie, or being badass, I'm down with that! I... have a bit of a Shane/Hunter crack pairing thing going.

If you want to go a serious route and explore a world with not-so-goofily evil rangers, that would be cool too, but I always prefer the "sweet" side of "bittersweet", so at least make them like each other, okay?

1. A time travel story that involves bringing Trini into the present.
2. Trini rescuing child Lily from a monster. Trini is captured and the now adult Lily has a chance to rescue her.
3. A dark AU with Earth being conquered.

Do they accidentally act like each other for awhile until it wears off? It could be an Leelee's POV of how they act in the record shop, or the rangers' own impressions, or anything. I just want someone else (for now, because I possibly will never stop talking about it omg) to show me what affects the rangers after a...what do you even call it? A mind/body meld. That. Story, please?

They're full of cheesy goodness, and I just want something fun. An intergalactic adventure, a mystery, or, hell, a beach episode. Or even a completely over the top AU-- I love over the top AUs where it's a totally different time period, or film noir, or fantasy with Sky being a princess. Stuff like that.
Since it's getting near Halloween, a darker AU is kinda creeping on me-- I really like ghost stories and betrayal and bittersweet things. If you want to do a dark, sci-fi re-imagining of SPD (dude, those prison cards? TOTALLY CREEPY) with dystopian elements and maybe Jack or Z (or one of the others!) is fighting the system from the inside.
Bonus points for mention or use of Bridge's psychic synesthesia.

If you want to go a serious route and explore a world with not-so-goofily evil rangers, that would be cool too, but I always prefer the "sweet" side of "bittersweet", so at least make them like each other, okay?

Anything from friendly to romance is fine. Here are a few optional story ideas.
1. A time travel story that involves bringing Trini into the present.
2. Trini rescuing child Lily from a monster. Trini is captured and the now adult Lily has a chance to rescue her.
3. A dark AU with Earth being conquered.
Of course those are just optional ideas. As long as the fic has Lily and Trini interacting I will be pleased as punch, though a chance to have them morphing and fighting side by side would make my day.
